Step-by-Step Instructions

PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING HAT SAVER!

Thank you for your purchase of Hat Saver. You are one step closer to keeping your hats looking like new. Follow these simple instructions to keep your new hats looking great:

  1. We recommend applying Hat Saver on your clean, new hats. To protect previously worn hats, please wash the oils out of your old hats then apply.
  2. Spray Hat Saver ONLY ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE HAT. Please Do Not Spray anywhere inside of the hat, including the sweatband. The sweatband is designed to absorb excess sweat, so please do not treat it, or anywhere else inside of the hat.
  3. Spray Hat Saver on the areas where you would normally sweat. We recommend spraying the entire bill of the hat, up about 2 inches on the brim of the hat, around the sides and back. If you normally sweat throughout the entire hat, then treat the entire outside of the hat.
  4. Spray the outside of the hat with three coats, waiting for the hat to dry in between coats. Hold bottle 2–3 inches from hat and spray evenly over the outside of the hat where sweat can accumulate, specifically where the bill and hat connect. Spray until you can see the fabric becoming wet. DO NOT SOAK. If applied too heavy, it could cause bleeding of colors. Wait until dry in between applications. Be sure all areas are fully covered.

VERY IMPORTANT!
After applying the final coat, ALLOW HAT TO DRY AND CURE FOR 18 HOURS BEFORE WEARING. For extra protection add another coat after one week of wearing your hat. Periodic applications continue to improve sweat repellence.
